At Anderson Development Company, we believe strong communities are built through collaboration, shared experiences, and giving back. That’s why we’re proud to support the Lenawee District Library and their 2026 Summer Reading Program, a nationwide initiative designed to keep young readers engaged and inspired throughout the summer.
This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” encourages participants to explore new ideas, discover hidden interests, and dive into the stories that spark curiosity and imagination. In support of this initiative, our team took part in a hands-on team-building activity centered around both connection and community impact.
A Team Effort with a Purpose
As part of the event, employees from our operations team came together to assemble six bicycles. The project emphasized teamwork, coordination, and a shared goal—creating something meaningful for the community we serve.
Once completed, the bikes were donated to the Lenawee District Library, where they will be awarded as prizes to children participating in the Summer Reading Program. These bikes add an element of excitement and motivation, encouraging young readers to stay engaged and reach their reading goals.
Encouraging Exploration Through Reading
Summer reading programs play an important role in helping students maintain literacy skills while school is out of session. They also provide an opportunity for children to expand their horizons, explore new topics, and develop a lifelong appreciation for reading.
We’re honored to support the Lenawee District Library in creating an experience that inspires curiosity and discovery—both through books and through meaningful community engagement.
