Almatex PD-1700 is a solid acrylic resin contains both epoxy and primary hydroxy functional group. Due to its dual functionality, PD1700 may be formulated with conventional polycarboxylic acid curatives alone, or with additional blocked isocyanates for dual cure to provide additional cross-linking density for specific desired coating properties. The higher polarity of PD1700 may also provide better pigmentation and compatibility with other powder coating systems. It can also be used as additive to other GMA or other powder coating systems for batch to batch compatibility.
