Almatex PD-3402 is a primary automotive clearcoat grade of solid, epoxy functional acrylic (GMA acrylic) resin. This high functionality resin gives excellent flow and outdoor durability when formulated into thermosetting clear powder coating. The most used curative for PD3402 is 1,12-dodecanedioic acid (DDDA) to produce high gloss, smoothness, and clarity clear coatings. Other various chain lengths of dibasic acids, and polyanhydrides can also be used as curatives for specific coating properties, or low temperature cure.
