Almatex PD4427 is a high Tg general purpose grade of solid, epoxy functional acrylic (GMA acrylic) resin for use in thermosetting powder coatings requiring a high degree of outdoor durability. Almatex PD4427 offers higher Tg and hydrophobicity compared to standard Almatex PD7610 that could provide better powder caking resistance and final coating corrosion resistance. Wheel clears, automotive trim, and automotive primer-surfacer are typical applications. Clear coatings cured with polycarboxylic acids or polyanhydrides have high gloss & exceptional clarity.
